The Walt Disney Company: Ecommerce (1997)
During e-commerce's infancy, I was responsible for the design of e-commerce initiatives for The Walt Disney company; including The Disney Store Online, ESPNStore.com, the NASCARStore.com and more. These stores sold apparel, toys, collectibles, tickets, customizable goods, and accessories using a shared overarching architecture (to provide a consistent experience, and streamline production).
Unlike today, the public was wary of purchasing goods online in 1997. Yet our business unit became the fastest to attain profitability in the company's history.
